Lions,

Hooray!! We made it through the holidays. Kudos to all of you who worked so hard to make Christmas a little brighter for those in need. We were able to send donations to the Adult Life Care Center, the McCune Center and to help with toys for the Salvation Army and Shepherds Care. I'm sure that a lot of people's holidays were made brighter because of your efforts.

As we enter the New Year, let's continue to focus on areas of need in our community. We also need to start preparing for our Spring Projects plus our Golf Tournament in May. We still hope to do a project for the soldiers and our plant sale. If any of you have ideas for other club projects, please let me hear from you.

Another note-- don't forget to purchase your Ingles cards from Lion Anne Gundel.

Thanks to all of you for your continued support for our Club and for this community.

I wish each of you a happy and prosperous New Year.

Added: I have been contacted by Ken Hamlin (Council Com. Chairperson for Lions Alert). There will be a class given from the Disaster Relief of NC and Lion Dale Dupree on what our part will be in there were a disaster in our area. Lions Alert needs at the 3 or more members from each club to attend the class. The location and time are to be determined.
Please e-mail me if you would like to participate in this class, so that I may get the names back to Lion Ken.

Yours in Lionism.

Lion Diane
